SLOT CAR STUFF
This blog is dedicated to my interests in all things racing,
from slot cars, models, videos, books to die casts.
Here are a few images of the Lotus 72 F1 car that I have in my
collection and also the inspiration for the name of this blog.
Above is a 1/18 scale Corgi die cast model from the late 70's.
This is a 1/32 scale working slot car made by
Vanquish MG - notable in that it has a working differential!
This is the same car as above. The Lotus 72 is the iconic car from the 70's F1 series.
1973 was the first time that I followed an entire season of Formula 1.
Only two races were televised at that time with the rest of the coverage
through magazines and the news.
There will be lots more slot car related material in future posts!
TORONTO INDY 2012
Me with Rubens Barrichello at this years Toronto Indy - and yes he signed my program.
Here I am with Justin Wilson - at 6'4" I don't know how he fits in a race car.
Ryan Briscoe signing my program after just finishing an interview with an on-sight radio station.
